There may be a Community Rating System Coordinator appointed
by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the Council, to serve
for a term of one year.
A.
The Community Rating System Coordinator shall be responsible for:
(1)
Assists in overseeing the Borough's FEMA Community Rating System
(CRS) for flood insurance discounts and development of plans for an
improved rating.
(2)
Assists in the development and implementation of other floodplain
management related programs.
(3)
Coordinate with Borough Departments and other agencies on projects
and activities that reduce flood damages and comply with NFIP program
requirements.
(4)
Explains floodplain development requirements to the governing body,
business owners, and residents.
(5)
Maintains records and documents in order to maintain the Borough's
eligibility to participate in the FEMA's NFIP and CRS program.
