Rainbow Boulevard, Shawnee Mission Parkway (formerly Johnson Drive and Highway 50) and State Line Road are hereby designated as through streets or highways. All vehicles shall stop before entering or crossing said through streets or highways from and after the date traffic control signals exhibiting the word "Stop" shall have been posted upon the streets of the City entering upon said through street or highway.
For the protection of pedestrians, vehicles and other traffic, the driver of any vehicle shall bring the same to a complete stop at the following locations:
(a) 
When the vehicle is moving south on Mission Woods Road immediately before entering the intersection of that street with Mission Woods Terrace;
(b) 
When the vehicle has been moving westerly on Mission Terrace and is proceeding northwesterly on the north leg or branch of Mission Woods Road, immediately before entering the intersection of such north leg or branch with Mission Woods Road;
(c) 
When the vehicle is moving westerly on Mission Woods Terrace and is proceeding southwesterly on the south leg or branch of Mission Woods Terrace, immediately before entering the intersection of that leg or branch with Mission Woods Road;
(d) 
When the vehicle is moving north on Mission Woods Road, immediately before entering the intersection of that street with Mission Woods Terrace;
provided, no person shall be convicted of a violation of this section unless a "Stop" sign has been erected and is being maintained at the place where the alleged violation occurred.
No person shall ride in or on any vehicle without the consent of the driver.
No unauthorized person shall interfere with or molest any vehicle.
Regulations of truck traffic in the City of Mission Woods shall be as follows:
(a) 
Regulation of Truck Traffic. No vehicle or truck carrying a manufacturer's rating of one ton or more other than those carrying passengers or constructed to carry passengers shall be allowed to enter the City of Mission Woods, except for vehicles carrying goods, merchandise, building material or other articles to be delivered in the City: Provided, that there are signs setting forth the regulation posted upon the streets of entry into the City.
(b) 
Exceptions. The following streets shall be exempt from the above regulations, to-wit: Rainbow Boulevard and Shawnee Mission Parkway (formerly Johnson Drive and Highway 50).
No vehicle shall be pushed for a distance exceeding 300 feet nor at a speed exceeding 20 mph.
Upon recommendation of the City engineer with respect to bridges under the jurisdiction of the City of Mission Woods, Kansas, the governing body may by resolution impose restrictions as to the maximum gross weight of vehicles operated thereon: Provided, that no such restriction shall be effective unless signs giving notice thereof are erected upon or adjacent to the bridge to which such restriction applies.
No passenger type vehicle shall be operated on any highway with any load carried thereon extending beyond the line of the fenders on the left side of such vehicle nor extending more than six inches beyond the line of the fenders on the right side thereof.
No person shall transport in any vehicle upon a public highway, street or alley, any alcoholic liquor or cereal malt beverage except in the original package or container which shall not have been opened and the seal upon which shall not have been broken and from which the original cap, cork or other closing device shall not have been removed, unless the opened package or container be in the locked rear trunk or rear compartment, or in a locked outside compartment which is not accessible to the driver or any other person in said vehicle while it is in motion.
Prohibited driving areas in the City shall be as follows:
(a) 
Trespass by Motor Vehicle. No person shall operate a motor vehicle over private property of another except a driveway as defined in Section 11-101, and then only with the express or implied permission of the owner.
(b) 
Over Curbs. No person shall drive any vehicle over or across any curb on any of the streets or boulevards of the City of Mission Woods except where a driveway has been constructed and except at building or construction sites when a building permit has been issued.
Every person who commits, attempts to commit, conspires to commit, or aids or abets in the commission of any act declared herein to be unlawful, whether individually or in connection with one or more other persons or as principal, agent or accessory, shall be guilty of such offense, and every person who falsely, fraudulently, forcibly, or willfully induces, causes, coerces, requires, permits or directs another to violate any provision of this article is likewise guilty of such offense.
It is unlawful for the owner, or any other person, employing or otherwise directing the driver of any vehicles, to require or knowingly to permit the operation of such vehicle upon the streets of Mission Woods in any manner contrary to this article.
Every person convicted of a violation of any of the provisions of this Article 2 shall for first conviction thereof be punished by fine of not more than $100, or by imprisonment for not more than 10 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment; for a second such conviction within one year thereafter such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $200, or by imprisonment for not more than 20 days or by both such fine and imprisonment; upon a third or subsequent conviction within one year after the first conviction such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500, or by imprisonment for not more than six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
