The City shall have the right to plant, maintain, treat and
remove trees, shrubbery and other plantings within the right-of-way
abutting streets, alleys, avenues and boulevards within the City.
The purpose of this article is to authorize the City to make
regulations relating to the maintenance and planting of trees, shrubs
and other plantings upon City-owned property; to promote beautification
of the City and the protection of the public health and safety; and
to provide for the preservation and removal of diseased tree, shrubs
and plantings.
