No person shall park or place any truck, trailer, house trailer, semitrailer, bus, boat, boat trailer or any other vehicle other than private passenger cars upon the streets, alleys, boulevards and other public ways of the City continuously between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
(a) 
No person shall park or place any vehicle upon the streets, alleys, boulevards or other public ways continuously for a period of more than 24 hours. The police department may cause such vehicles parked in excess of 24 hours to be removed and impounded. Vehicles may be released only after bond has been made for appearance in municipal court and payment of towing and storage fees.
(b) 
No person, firm or corporation shall park or allow any vehicle to be parked on any residential street within the City between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. "Residential Street" is hereby defined as Mission Woods Road, Mission Woods Terrace, 51st Street and the south side of 50th Terrace.
Parking of vehicles on State Line Road, Shawnee Mission Parkway (formerly Johnson Drive and Highway 50), Rainbow Boulevard, the northerly side of Mission Woods Road, the northerly side of Mission Woods Terrace and the northerly side of West 51st Street Terrace, within the City is hereby prohibited. Signs shall be erected and maintained giving notice of such prohibited parking.
The governing body shall designate and establish by resolution zones or areas on the public streets for the stopping of buses for the safe and convenient loading and unloading of passengers.
The driver of a bus shall not stand or park the same upon any street in any business district at any place other than at a bus stop, except that this provision shall not prevent the driver of any school bus from temporarily stopping in accordance with other stopping or parking regulations at any place for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers.
No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle other than buses in a bus stop when any such stop has been officially designated and appropriately signed: Provided, that the driver of a passenger vehicle may temporarily stop therein for the purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading passengers when such stopping does not interfere with any bus waiting to enter or about to enter such zones.
Any person having a vehicle parked on the streets of the City of Mission Woods must move that vehicle from the street within two hours following snow accumulation of two inches or more and such vehicle must remain off the streets of the City for a period of 24 hours following such accumulation.
Any vehicle remaining on a street two hours following a snow accumulation of two inches may be towed from the City street by the City at the expense of the owner of the vehicle.
Any person, firm or corporation violating, disobeying, neglecting or refusing to comply with the provisions of this Article 3 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not less than $1, nor more than $25.
