Provisions, Art. IV)]
It shall be unlawful for any person to remove or cause to be removed any snow fence erected under the authority of the Washington County Highway Commissioner without prior authorization of the Washington County Highway Commissioner. Violators are subject to penalties as set forth in Chapter
1, General Provisions, §
1-5, of the Code of Washington County.

A. Purpose. This section is intended to codify the previous standards
of the County Highway Committee adopted on August 20, 1963, and to
establish standards and procedures to clarify and expedite County
aid bridge and culvert petitions.
B. Eligibility. All towns within Washington County are eligible to participate
in the benefits of this section. Any village having adopted a resolution
in accordance with the terms and conditions of § 61.48,
Wis. Stats., shall become subject to the provisions of this section
upon the filing of a certified copy of such resolution with the County
Board and subject to approval by a majority of the towns and villages
in the County that are already subject to § 82.08, Wis.
Stats. Any municipality, including cities and villages, which has
participated in the cost of construction, reconstruction or purchase
of any bridge under § 84.11 or § 84.12, Wis. Stats.,
shall become subject to taxation by the County for the construction
or repair of bridges within the County under § 82.08, Wis.
Stats.
C. Procedure. Except as otherwise provided by law, the procedures set
forth in § 82.08, Wis. Stats., shall govern the administration
of this section.
D. Standards. All bridges and culverts receiving aid under this section
shall meet the following minimum standards:
(1) The minimum size eligible for a County aid culvert shall be a thirty-six-inch
or greater span, or a structure of equivalent capacity to carry water.

(2) Repairs to existing structures will be eligible for aid only if the
repairs would result in an increase of at least 10 years in the predictable
life cycle of the structure to be aided, as certified by a professional
engineer, and if all other standards are met.
(3) Existing culverts are eligible for total replacement only. No extensions
of existing pipes will be aided.
(4) County work crews will perform all work for the installation of bridges
and culverts where deemed appropriate in the discretion of the Public
Works Committee and Highway Commissioner.

Under the statutory authorization and consistent with the procedures
set forth in § 66.1031, Wis. Stats., the County Highway
Department may create and maintain a County street and highway right-of-way
width map.

Purpose. This section is intended to regulate the operation
of All-Terrain Vehicles ("ATV") as defined in § 23.33(1)(b),
Wis. Stats., and Utility-Terrain Vehicles ("UTV") as defined in § 23.33(1)(ng)
under Sections 23.33(8)(b) and (11), Wis. Stats.
A. Operation of ATV and UTV. Pursuant to § 23.33(4)(b), Wis.
Stats., except as otherwise provided in § 23.33(4), Wis.
Stats., no person may operate an ATV or UTV on any Washington County
highway except on those portions of County highways that as designated
as ATV and UTV routes pursuant to the Code of Washington County.
B. The operation of ATVs or UTVs on any portion of a County highway
designated as an ATV and UTV route is authorized:
(1) In strict conformance with and subject to all applicable laws, orders,
regulations, restrictions, and rules, including § 23.33,
Wis. Stats., and Chapter NR 64 of the Wisconsin Administrative Code,
as amended.
(2) On County highways signed in accordance with § 23.33(8),
Wis. Stats., and any other applicable law.
(3) Only during periods of the year designated for such use pursuant
to § 23.33(8)(d), Wis. Stats., and Chapter NR 64.12(4).
(4) On
all County highways located within municipalities that have approved
ATV/UTV use.

C. Administration. This section shall be administered by the Washington
County Highway Commissioner and his or her designee.
D. Enforcement. This section shall be enforced in accordance with § 23.33(12),
Wis. Stats., including the issuance of a citation under § 66.0113,
Wis. Stats.
E. Penalties. Penalties for a violation of this section shall be as
set forth in § 23.33(13), Wis. Stats.
