Water meters, encoder registers, and ERTs, which are devices used to transmit meter readings via radio frequency, are an integral part of the city’s water distribution system. Damage to any of these components could prevent the city from obtaining accurate readings. Damage to these components will be the responsibility of the customer, unless evidence limiting the customers’ involvement in the damage is presented.
