This article shall be known as and may be cited as the "Harborcreek Township Parks Ordinance."
The Board of Supervisors for the Township of Harborcreek determines it to be in the best interests and welfare of the citizens of the Township that certain rules and regulations be promulgated for conduct within the public parks located within the Township, and the purpose of this article is to set forth certain rules and to provide for the establishment of rules and regulations for the conduct of individuals in the various parks located in the Township.

Public parks located within the Township shall be open to the public from sunrise until 9:00 p.m. on each day, when they will be closed to the public, with the exception of special events approved by the Board of Supervisors.
The speed limit for all motorized vehicles within any public park in the Township shall be five miles per hour.

The Supervisors may establish other rules and regulations for conduct within the parks located within the Township, which rules and regulations shall be posted on site at the individual park within which the rules and regulations apply.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article shall, upon conviction thereof in a summary proceeding before the Magisterial District Judge, be sentenced to pay a fine or penalty up to and not exceeding the sum of $300, plus the costs of prosecution or, in default of the payment thereof, be sentenced to imprisonment in the County Jail for a period of time not exceeding 30 days.
