(a) 
A fee shall be assessed for each permit required by this article. Such fee shall be established by separate ordinance. All permit fees shall be paid upon application for the permit.
(b) 
When any electrical work is commenced within the city and no permit as required by this article has been issued prior to the commencement of such work, the fee for issuance of the required permit may be charged and assessed at twice the amount required by separate ordinance. This subsection shall not, however, apply when the electrical work has been undertaken as an emergency in accordance with section 22-154.
(c) 
Permit fees as established by separate ordinance shall not be assessed for permits involving work for any of the following:
(1) 
School districts within the city limits.
(2) 
The city.
(3) 
The county.
(d) 
When a permit has been issued and the electrical work has been inspected by the electrical inspector, and such inspector determines upon inspection that the electrical work failed to comply with this article and issues a rejection notice for such work pursuant to section 22-223(2), a reinspection fee shall be charged, as established by separate ordinance.

All fees and charges as established and set forth by separate ordinance are and shall be subject to adjustment in accordance with this code.
