The provisions of this article shall apply to all pools, except
state and county regulations shall apply where such regulations are
more restrictive.

(a) Swimming pools shall conform to setbacks as required for accessory structures in Chapter
34 of this Code. No pool edge shall be located closer than 10 feet to any side or rear lot line.
(b) Pool construction shall be such that all scum, splash and deck water
shall not return to the pool, except through a filter system.
(c) For the protection of the general public, outdoor swimming pools
shall be enclosed by a wall, fence or other type of enclosure which
may consist in part of the residence to which the swimming pool is
appurtenant; the wall or fence to be not less than five feet above
the abutting ground level. All gates and doors leading to such swimming
pool shall be kept closed when the pool is not in actual use and such
gates and doors shall be fitted with a positive latching device which
shall automatically latch them when the gate door is in the closed
position.
