For the protection and preservation of the life and comfort,
safety and general welfare of the inhabitants of the city and the
safety from fire and explosion of the property located and situated
therein, the 2018 International Fire Code, as amended, including appendices
B–F, promulgated and sponsored by the International Code Council,
is hereby adopted. A copy of said 2018 International Fire Code, as
amended, is incorporated herein by reference and has been filed in
the office of the city secretary for permanent record and inspection.
The city council further adopts the Recommended Amendments to the
2018 Edition of the International Fire Code Option B prepared by the
North Central Texas Council of Governments, approved September 2018.
Amendments are not set out herein but are on file and available for
inspection in the office of the city secretary.
