Multioccupancy structure.
A dwelling which houses more than one family living unit which includes but is not limited to duplexes, apartments, hotels, motels, nursing homes, etc.
Pesticides.
Any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating any pest.
Professional pesticide applicator.
A person, firm, partnership, joint venture, corporation who provides, for a fee, pesticide application to third-party premises.
Retail vendor.
The manager, owner or operator of a business furnishing pesticides to the public.

Retail vendors of pesticides shall disseminate educational material to purchasers of pesticide products. The educational material will be supplied by the city. The retail vendor shall also display signage in the store at the pesticide display which alerts the purchaser of the need for proper use and disposal of pesticide products.

All professional pesticide applicators who apply pesticides to any residence, business, educational, or hospital institution in the city shall comply with state regulations. At the time of application, the applicator shall disseminate educational material supplied by the city to the customer or leave such information at the location.

The manager, owner, or custodian of a multioccupancy dwelling is required to notify, in writing, the occupants of the dwelling of the indoor application of pesticides no later than forty-eight (48) hours prior to the application. The manager, owner or custodian shall also disseminate educational material supplied by the city to occupants at the time of initial notification.
