As used in this article, any structure or building which
is ten feet (10') or more wide and fifteen (15) or more feet high,
and when loaded upon the trailer moving same, does not exceed twenty
feet (20') in length.

No person, except a licensed and bonded house mover, and except as hereinafter provided in this article, shall move or cause to be moved any building over, along, across or above any street, alley or highway within the city, or from one property to another property within the same. Except as otherwise provided herein, every such person, before engaging in any such activity or occupation, shall obtain an annual license from the city therefor for which the license fee shall be as provided for in section A22.12.002 of the fee schedule in appendix
A to this code. Such license shall not be granted until such person making application therefor shall have presented and given a bond in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), with one (1) or more good and sufficient sureties, one (1) of whom shall be an approved surety company lawfully doing business in the state, conditioned, among other things, upon payment of all damages which may occur or accrue to any tree, pavement, street or sidewalk, or any awning, wire, fire alarm or utility pole, provided that any such awning, wire or pole be in place at the time of such injury, or to any other thing injured or damaged by any such house mover, whether such injury or damage shall be inflicted by such a house mover or his or her agents, employees or workmen, and conditioned also that such party will save and indemnify and keep harmless the city against all liabilities, judgments, costs and expenses which may in any way accrue or result against the city in consequence of the granting of such license, and will in all things strictly comply with the conditions of the permit issued any such person; provided, however, no such license or bond shall be required of any person moving buildings or structures less than ten feet (10') wide and less than fifteen feet (15') high when loaded and not over twenty feet (20') long.

Before issuing any such permit for the moving of any building as provided and required by the provisions of this article, the applicant therefor shall pay a sum as provided for in section A22.12.004 of the fee schedule in appendix
A to this code. All such fees shall be paid to the city as and for the issuance of a building moving permit.

It shall be unlawful for any house mover or firm of house movers,
at any time, to cut any wire across or along any street in the city
carrying an electric current, or for the purpose of carrying an electric
current; and in the event any such person or firm shall cut the same
or permit the same to be cut by anyone in their employ, such persons
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

It shall be unlawful for any house mover or firm of house movers,
at any time, to cut any tree, tree limb or shrubbery across or along
any street in the city; and in the event any such person or firm shall
cut the same or any part of the same or to permit the same or any
part of the same to be cut by anyone in their employ, such persons
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
