(a)
Persons
operating kennels shall pay, on the first day of January of each year,
or upon the commencement of operations of such kennel, a registration
fee as a kennel operator. Upon payment of the registration fee and
evidence of compliance with vaccination requirements, the animal control
officer shall issue a kennel license for the premises concerned.
(b)
Such
license shall expire at the end of the calendar year for which it
was issued.
(c)
A
person desiring such a license shall pay to the city a fee established
from time to time by the city council.
(d)
This
section shall not apply to a veterinary clinic operated by a licensed
veterinarian.
