It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell, or offer for sale, any fireworks, of any kind, within the corporate limits of the city or within five thousand (5,000) feet thereof.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use or make use of, set off, or explode any fireworks within the corporate limits of the city, save and except public displays produced under the direct supervision of the city fire department. Any such public display, and the location therefor, shall be approved by the fire chief of the city and bonded in accordance with state law prior to the time of such display.
