All monies and funds of the city shall be deposited in a depository
bank designated by resolution of the city council and selected in
accordance with state law, such funds to be deposited in the name
of “The City of Dalworthington Gardens.”

All checks drawn on any account shall be countersigned by one
elected official and one appointed official of the city, as designated
by resolution of the city council.

There is hereby created a general fund, and all revenues of
the city derived from any source, except the water and sewer system
of the city and its revenues, shall go into and become a part of such
general fund. The city council may set such amount of funds now on
hand aside into such general fund as they deem necessary. In accordance
with generally accepted accounting principles for municipalities,
the city council may establish and abolish such other funds as deemed
necessary.

There is hereby created a water and sewer fund which shall contain
all funds on hand pertaining to the operation of the water and sewer
system, all revenues set up for this purpose, and all revenue derived
from the operation of said system.

The fiscal year of the city shall be from the first day of October
to the last day of September.
(2005 Code, sec. 2.1.30)
The city council shall cause an audit to be made of the city’s
business as soon as practical after the close of each fiscal year.
Such audit shall contain a full and clear statement of the business
and condition of the city at the close of such fiscal year and shall
be kept as part of the permanent records of the city in the city hall
and shall be available for inspection by any citizen of the city.
