(a)
Permit required.
It shall be unlawful for any person to make any electrical installation or to alter, repair or add to any existing electrical work for the utilization of electricity for light, heat or power in or upon any building or premises within the corporate limits of the city without first securing a permit from the electrical inspector.
(b)
Exceptions.
No permit shall be required for minor electrical repairs such as the replacing of sockets, receptacles, fuses, drop cords and snap switches or for the installation or alteration of electrical bells, intercoms or other low energy wiring systems.
