The 2017 edition of the National Electrical Code, along with
amendments as adopted by the city, is hereby adopted by the city and
is maintained on file in the office of the city secretary.

As of the date of this article, all new and/or replacement residential
meter services shall have the service drop extending through and at
least three (3) feet above the roof overhang (eve) of the roof of
the residence for which the service is being wired. All installations
must have a disconnect box wired at the meter. An appropriate weather
head shall be installed, the service drop securely anchored to the
roof and wired to the meter base according to International Electrical
Code standards. Manufactured homes, accessory buildings, garages,
carports and structures without roof overhang or eves, shall install
a pole mounted service drop, meter base and disconnect box. All work
must be permitted by the city, meet the minimum standards set under
the International Electrical Code and pass inspection by the city's
electrical inspector. The city reserves the right to refuse electric
service if installations fail to meet the above standards.
