It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to cross the old Burkett Bridge on the airport road lying approximately two hundred feet east of U.S. Bypass 84 with a load limit in excess of fourteen thousand pounds (14,000 lbs.). The bridge, lying inside the corporate limits of the city, is deemed unsafe above this limit, and permanent signs shall be posted on or near the bridge to warn the public.

(a) 
It shall be unlawful for any person to cause an overweight or overheight vehicle to enter upon or cross the bridge across the causeway at Lake Coleman.
(b) 
As used in this section, the term “overweight vehicle” is described as any vehicle with a gross weight in excess of 7,500 pounds.
(c) 
As used in this section, the term “overheight vehicle” is described as any vehicle any part of which extends more than 7'6" from the ground.
(d) 
Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a isdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine in accordance with the general penalty provision set forth in section 1.01.009 of this code.
