City of Millville, NJ Parking and Traffic Regulations on Municipal Park Property

The Millville City Municipal Park shall include Ware Avenue, Municipal Utilities Drive, the Streets and Roads Building, the Water Utility Building, the ballfields and the adjacent parking lots as shown on the site plan approved by NJDOT.

No stopping or standing. No person shall stop or stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described below:

Parking prohibited except in designated parking areas. No person shall park a vehicle in this park except in the designated parking areas between the lines provided.

Parking reserved for handicapped persons. In accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:5A-4, the following off-street parking locations are designated as handicapped parking. Such spaces are for use by persons who have been issued special identification cards, plates or placards by the Division of Motor Vehicles or a temporary placard issued by the Chief of Police. No other person shall be permitted to park in these spaces.

All stalls shall be 13 feet wide as shown on the approved site plan and signed with the R7-8 and R7-8P (reserved parking sign and penalty plate) in the designated parking area reserved for handicapped persons.

Reserved parking. All vehicles that are granted specialty parking in this park, such as police vehicles, public employee vehicles and public officials vehicles, must be properly identified and the reserved parking spaces must be shown on the approved site plan.

Mid-block crosswalks. The following locations shall be established as mid-block crosswalks.

Through streets. The following streets or parts of streets are hereby designated as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through streets except where yield signs are provided for in the designation.

Tow away zones.

(1)

Any vehicle parked or standing so as to obstruct or impede the normal flow of traffic may be towed and stored by the City at the owner's or operator's expense.

(2)

Any vehicle parked or standing so as to block the entrance of exitways, the loading zones, the oil-fill areas, and the grassy area pedestrian walkway may be towed and stored by the City at the owner's or operator's expense.

(3)

Any vehicle parked or standing which presents a safety or traffic hazard may be towed and stored at the owner's or operator's expense.

Violations and penalties. The penalties for violations of the handicapped parking section of these regulations shall be as set forth in Article IV of this chapter. The penalties for violations of the other parking sections of these regulations shall be as set forth in Article III of this chapter.
