[Adopted as Ch. 15.08, Sec. 15.08.210, of the 2003 Municipal Code]
Prior to any change in ownership, occupancy or tenancy of any single-family or two-family house or other premises designed or used for human occupancy not exceeding two dwelling units, smoke detectors shall be installed in accordance with the standards set forth in the State of New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
The requirements of this article shall be subject to the certificate of approval procedures set forth in § 299-3, Certificate of conformity.
In addition, the Construction Official may enforce this article as provided in § 355-8, Enforcement procedure.
Violation of this article shall be subject to the penalties set forth in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Township of Bordentown.
