All sales of food and food products for human consumption in the city shall be done only in accordance with the regulations of the department of state health services as may be amended from time to time. Specifically, the Rules on Food Service Sanitation as published by the department of state health services shall apply in the city. Violations of such regulations may be punished by a fine in accordance with the general penalty provision found in section 1.01.009 of this code.
