Any person, firm or corporation that shall violate any of the provisions of this division shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined as provided for in the general penalty provision found in section
1.01.009 of this code. Each day’s violation shall constitute a separate offense.

An animal unit is defined as follows: Four sheep, four goats,
one horse, one cow, one mule, one donkey, one burro, one jack, one
jennet, one pony. A minimum of 1,500 square feet of area shall be
required for each animal unit, and not more than two animal units
shall be in any lot, pen, building, stable enclosure or parcel of
land.

It shall be unlawful for any person to keep any livestock in
or on any lot, pen, building, parcel of land, stable or other enclosure
in the city any part of which lot, pen, building, parcel of land,
stable or other enclosure is nearer than one hundred feet (100') from
any house, building or structure where people reside, cook, eat, conduct
business or sleep, provided that this distance requirement shall not
apply to the dwelling of the owner himself.

Each place used in the city for keeping any livestock shall
be kept free of offensive odors, flies and rodents, and shall have
a suitable manure box or container in which all manure and droppings
shall be placed daily. Each such box or container shall be securely
screened or otherwise protected from flies, vermin and rodents and
shall be cleaned out and disinfected at least once a week. Manure
from such boxes shall not be left in open stacks but shall be removed
or buried.
