As used in this article, the following shall mean:
Any monkeys, raccoons, opossums, de-scented skunks, rabbits, chinchillas, hamsters, and similar animals of all descriptions regardless of sex, other than livestock, allowed to be kept through the means of an authorized animal permit within the city limits.
Any chickens, turkeys, geese, guineas, ducks, pigeons, pheasants, or similar classified fowl allowed to be kept through the means of an authorized fowl permit within the city limits.
Any horse, mule, jack, jenny, cow, cattle, sheep, goat, hog or similar animal allowed to be kept through the means of an authorized livestock permit within the city limits.
Permits allowed for the keeping of livestock, fowl and animals within the city limits authorized only by the city council, in accordance with the regulations and procedures of this article.
Any person, firm or corporation owning, keeping or harboring or having control of livestock, fowl and/or animals as defined in this section.
Includes any mammal, amphibian, reptile, or fowl which is of a species which is wild by nature, and of a species which, due to size, vicious nature, or other characteristic, is dangerous to human beings. Such animals shall include, but not be limited to, deer, lions, tigers, leopards, panthers, bears, wolves, raccoons, skunks, apes, gorillas, monkeys, foxes, elephants, rhinoceroses, alligators, crocodiles and all forms of poisonous reptiles. The term “wild animal” as used in this code shall not include gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice or rabbits.
