(a) 
Certain documents, at least one copy of which is on file in the office of the city secretary of the City of Tahoka, being marked and designated as “International Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition” be and is hereby adopted as the code of the City of Tahoka for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems in the City of Tahoka, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of such “International Plumbing Code,” 2000 Edition on file in the office of the City of Tahoka is hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this article.
(b) 
No person, firm or corporation whether as owner, lessee, sublessee or occupant shall erect, construct, enlarge alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, demolish, equip, use or maintain any plumbing or permit the same to be done contrary to or in violation of this article of the International Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition. Any person violating the provisions of this article or the International Plumbing Code shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and may be fined in accordance with the general penalty provision set forth in Section 1.109 of this code. Each day the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
