Under the provisions of an Act of Assembly, May 2, 1945, P.L. 382, as amended, known as the Municipality Authorities Act of 1945, it is the intention of the Borough of Nazareth to organize such an Authority.

1. 
The proposed Articles of Incorporation of the said Authority are as follows:
A. 
The name of the said Authority is "Nazareth Borough Municipal Authority."
B. 
The Authority is formed under the provisions of the Act of General Assembly of the Commonwealth, which was approved by the second day of May 1945, P.L. 382, known as the "Municipality Authorities Act of 1945," as amended and supplemented.
C. 
No other Authority organized under the said Act or under the Act approved the 28th day of June 1935; P.L. 463 is in existence in or for the said incorporating municipality.
D. 
The name of the incorporating municipality is the Borough of Nazareth, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.
E. 
The Board of the Authority shall consist of six members. Five of the members of the Board of the Authority shall be residents, property owners, or taxpayers in the Borough of Nazareth, and one member of the Authority shall be a resident, property owner or taxpayer of the Township of Upper Nazareth.
F. 
The names, addresses and terms of office of the first members of the Board of the Authority, each of whom is a resident and citizen of said incorporating municipality, are as follows:

G. 
The term of existence of the Authority shall be for 50 years from the date of approval of these articles of amendment to the Articles of Incorporation.

The purposes or projects to be undertaken by said Authority shall be those permitted and authorized by the Laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as the Borough of Nazareth may from time to time by resolution or ordinance specify.

The several officers of the said Borough are hereby authorized and directed to do and perform every lawful, requisite and convenient thing for the organization of the said Authority, which is provided and authorized by the said Act of 1945.
