The head of the Public Works Department shall appoint a competent
registered professional engineer to be City Engineer who shall serve
a three-year term.
The City Engineer shall be responsible to the Mayor for the
efficient execution of all engineering services for the City.
The City Engineer shall collect, arrange and index all existing
plans in which the City is interested, obtaining originals wherever
possible, and blueprints where originals cannot be obtained, and shall
deposit the same and all future plans in a location within the City
open to access by the public.
