The Township will permit an employee to waive health benefits coverage offered by the Township if the employee is eligible for any other health care coverage.
The Township will pay an employee an annual amount or incentive which cannot be more than 50% of the amount saved by the Township because of the employee's waiver of health care coverage.
The Township will establish annually an amount payable to an employee choosing to waive health benefits coverage.
A.
Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, any employee receiving retired lifetime health benefits through a state health benefits program, or any other government program, shall not be eligible to receive any amount or incentive payment for waiving health benefits coverage offered by the Township.
B.
Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, any employee receiving health benefits through a state health benefits program, or any other government program, as a result of their spouse's employment, shall not be eligible to receive any amount or incentive payment for waiving health benefits coverage offered by the Township.
