The Board of Supervisors of the Township of Exeter approves
and sanctions the reestablishment of the Fire Advisory Board. The
Fire Advisory Board shall be comprised of a predetermined number of
representative(s) selected from the fire and/or rescue company, elected
official(s) and citizen members at large. The local governments shall
appoint public officials as representatives on the Fire Advisory Board.
A. The representation
for the Board shall be as follows:
(1) Exeter
Township Fire Department: one representative from the Department.
(2) Exeter
Township: two representatives: the Manager, one Supervisor and one
alternate.
(3) St.
Lawrence Borough: one representative and one alternate.
(4) Citizens
at large: five representatives appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
B. The Board
of Supervisors shall officially appoint, by motion, all acceptable
candidates to the Fire Advisory Board for a period of two years. Appointed
member may succeed themselves in these positions upon reappointment
by the Board of Supervisors.
C. The Fire
Advisory Board shall have the ability to appoint any and all subcommittees
comprised of individuals selected or recruited from the community,
but these persons shall not have voting privileges on the Fire Advisory
Board.

The ETVFD is hereby authorized and directed, by and through
its officers and authorized representatives, to ascertain what insurance
coverages may be applicable and available under any given circumstances
and to take all necessary and affirmative steps to apply for and receive
reimbursement from any insurance carriers where a property owner and/or
vehicle owner/operator is or may be insured to reimburse the ETVFD
for any cost and/or expense incurred for services, supplies, and/or
equipment used for or provided to the property owner and/or the vehicle
owner/operator by the ETVFD.
This article shall be liberally construed to accomplish its
purpose to compensate and/or reimburse the ETVFD from insurance proceeds
for costs and/or expenses incurred while providing service pursuant
to its duties for the Fire Department.
The costs and expenses permitted hereunder may be billed directly
by ETVFD, or alternatively the ETVFD may engage the services of a
company that provides collection services. In addition, ETVFD is authorized
to collect reasonable interest and a reasonable administrative fee,
as allowed by law.
Under no circumstances shall the ETVFD limit its activities
or make a condition of providing its services the payment or collection
of a change for current or past services.
