The Supervisors hereby signify their intention
to join an existing authority known as the "Centre Area Transportation
Authority" under the provisions of the Municipal Authorities Act of
1945, as amended.[1]

The Chair and the Secretary of the Board of
Supervisors are hereby authorized and directed to execute, on behalf
of the Township of Patton, an application of joinder with the Secretary
of the Commonwealth in substantially the form attached hereto and
made a part hereof by reference.[1]

The Chair and the Secretary of the Board of
Supervisors are directed to cause a notice of the substance of the
application of joinder, making reference to the Act of Assembly under
which such application may be filed, to be published once in a newspaper
published and of general circulation in Centre County and once in
the Centre County Legal Journal.
The Chair and the Secretary of the Township
are directed to jointly file said application of joinder, together
with the necessary proofs of publication, with the Secretary of the
Commonwealth and to do all other acts and things necessary or appropriate
to join the Centre Area Transportation Authority.
The name of the person set forth on the application
of joinder attached hereto shall be the Township's representative
as a member of the Board of Authority, and the term of office shall
commence on the date of appointment and shall be computed from January
1, 1982.
