No person shall permit or allow any dog to run at large. This section may be cited as the “leash law.”

A. 
Dogs are permitted to run at large on public and private golf courses for the sole purpose of controlling the geese population at said golf courses. Provided, however, that the dogs are specially trained for that purpose and provided that the dogs do not harm, catch, or kill the geese.
B. 
Trained police dogs are permitted to run at large while on duty.

No person shall allow any animal to cause any damage to any public property.

The owner of any female which is in season shall confine such dog during such season and shall not, in any instance, allow such dog to run at large.

No person shall permit or allow any dog, when unprovoked, to engage in any behavior that requires a defensive action by any person to prevent bodily injury when the person and the dog are not on the property of the owner or keeper of the dog.
