It is unlawful for any person to
destroy, injure, or remove any sign, barrier, notice, paper, or monument
erected or placed by any official or employee of the city in performance
of his duty, or by any person doing work under the authority of the
city. Violation of this section may be charged as either an infraction
or misdemeanor in the discretion of the city attorney.
