The director is authorized to establish, designate and maintain
crosswalks at intersections and other places by appropriate devices,
marks or lines upon the surface of the roadway.

No pedestrian shall cross a roadway other than in a crosswalk
in any business district as defined by Section 235 of the Vehicle
Code.

No pedestrian shall cross a roadway at any place other than
by a route at right angles to the curb or by the shortest route to
the opposite curb except in a marked crosswalk.

A. It
is unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, rollerskate or in-line
skate upon any sidewalk or street so as to interfere with pedestrian
or vehicular traffic.
B. It
is unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, rollerskate or in-line
skate upon or across any privately owned property without the consent
of the owner.
C. Subsection
B of this section shall not be enforceable unless the private property owner posts a sign that prohibits the conduct and references this section, provided, however that posting of a sign is not required for this section to apply to residential property.
D. It
is unlawful to ride or propel any skateboard, rollerskate or in-line
skate upon any public property if the property owner posts a sign
that prohibits the conduct and references this section.
E. Any
sign posted pursuant to this section which prohibits rollerskating
shall be deemed to also prohibit in-line skating and vice-versa, unless
the sign otherwise provides.
