This chapter establishes standards for the location of nightclubs
where permitted within any zone district. It is the intent of this
chapter to minimize the adverse impacts of nightclubs on residences,
neighborhoods and surrounding development by regulating the location
of such uses.

Nightclubs are permitted as identified in Article II.

The following requirement applies to nightclubs where permitted
within any zone district (except for nightclubs within the Downtown
Specific Plan Area):
Nightclubs are prohibited to be located within 500 feet of a
residential zone district as measured from the residential zone district
boundary to the structure where the nightclub use is proposed.

In addition to the notification procedure in Section 19.78.020, notice of a permit application for a nightclub shall be provided to all property owners within 1,000 feet of the use.
