Whenever in this Title the following names or terms are used,
such names or terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them by this
Chapter.

means the Building Official appointed by the City Manager
of the City of Indian Wells.

means the Building Department of the City of Indian Wells
or other designated agency.

means the City of Indian Wells or the incorporated territory
within the City of Indian Wells as the text may require.

means the City Council of the City of Indian Wells.

means any agency of Riverside County under contract with
the City of Indian Wells and performing services for the City of Indian
Wells.

means the Mayor of the City of Indian Wells.

means a natural person, his or her heirs, executors, administrators
or assigns, and also includes a firm, partnership or corporation,
its or their successors or assigns, or the agent of any of the aforesaid.
It includes the State, an agency of the State, special districts,
and local agencies, except those exempt by State law.
