(A) Any person desiring to perform work regulated by currently adopted
editions of the California Codes, Title 24, or any laws, amendments,
ordinances or other regulations administered by the Building and Code
Compliance Division, or that may be adopted and administered in the
future, shall secure permits and pay fees as set forth in this chapter.
(B) The determination of valuation under any of the provisions of this
code shall be made by the Building Official. The valuation to be used
in computing the permit and plan review fees shall be the total value
of all construction work for which the permit is issued as well as
all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating,
airconditioning, elevators, fire extinguishing systems, paving, profit
and overhead, and any other permanent work or permanent equipment.
