The Transportation Corridor (TC) District includes land within the public rights-of-way for streets, highways, rail lines and other transportation corridors and facilities that are part of the General Plan Circulation Element. Railroad rights-of-way shall be deemed to be in the TC district and shall be permitted to be used solely for the purpose of accommodating tracks, signals, other operative devices, and the movement of rolling stock. The District also includes open space areas adjacent to or included in the rights-of-way, public or private parking areas, and transit facilities. The District designates these major components of the City's circulation system and ensures these components are an efficient and aesthetic part of the community.
