The purpose of this chapter is to provide for and set a bail
schedule of penalties for parking citations and vehicle infractions
in Merced County. The Merced County sheriff's office is charged with
issuing citations for parking violations and vehicle infractions that
occur in Merced County.

Pursuant to Section 40200 of the California Vehicle Code, the
