Those certain documents, three certified copies of which one
is on file in the office of the clerk, and two in the office of the
deputy director - buildings, marked and designated as California Code
of Regulations Title 24, Part 3, 2022 California Electrical Code,
based on the 2020 National Electrical Code as published by the National
Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and amended by the California Building
Standards Commission is hereby adopted by reference and, except as
herein otherwise provided, are applicable to and shall govern all
construction within the unincorporated area of the county of Merced.

The following sections of the California Electrical Code are
deleted, amended, or superseded by other provisions as is hereinafter
indicated: None.

All electrical work to be accomplished shall be indicated on the application for the first electrical permit. For any additional work beyond that stated in the original application, supplementary documents and permits must be obtained. A permit to perform electrical work shall be issued upon completion of the application form, approval of the drawings and/or specifications, and upon payment of a fee in accordance with the following applicable schedules: For single-family dwellings, on new construction work, the fee for all electrical work within the structure and the electrical work for the installation of the domestic well pump, compressor, and all other electrical work connected thereto, including power pole, shall be as listed in Section
16.12.090 of this title.
