This Part and any rules and regulations enacted hereunder shall
be in full force and effect in all parks and playgrounds owned or
operated by the Borough.

1. No person shall bring or keep any animal, except dogs or documented
support animals, in any Borough Park. Prohibited animals include,
but are not limited to exotic, wild, and farm animals, reptiles, and
fowl.
2. Any dog in a Borough Park shall not be a "dangerous dog" as defined
under the Pennsylvania Dog Law. Dogs shall be kept on a leash not
exceeding six feet in length, and always under control of the handler;
except that a dog may be off leash within the fenced-in area of the
Borough dog park.
3. Any support animal in a Borough Park shall be nonaggressive, always
restrained and under the direct control of the handler.
4. No dogs or support animals shall be permitted in any playground area
or upon the courts of the parks at any time.
5. Authorization may be obtained from the Borough Council's Public
Property Committee for the training and/or exhibition of dogs or other
animals in certain designated park areas.
6. Handlers shall immediately cleanup and properly dispose of all animal
waste.

No person shall possess, consume, or be under the influence
of any alcoholic beverage while in or upon any park or playground,
except for scheduled events approved by Council of the Borough of
Nazareth where the host entity provides an off premises permit from
the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for the event at the permitted
site. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in or upon any park or
playground, except for scheduled events approved by Council of the

No gambling shall be permitted in any park or playground.

All terrain vehicles, including but not limited to, ATC’s,
ATV’s, snowmobiles, trail bikes and other similar vehicles,
are not permitted to be used, utilized, stored or parked in the parks
and playgrounds.

All licensed motor vehicles shall be permitted only in designated
parking lots and/or access roads. In addition, pedal cycles shall
be permitted in the areas designated by signs or other notices as
cart ways or paths for pedal cycle travel. No part of this Section
shall be construed to restrict the operation of a pedal cycle used
by a police officer during the course of performing police duties.

Any conduct which may cause public inconvenience, annoyance
or alarm to the persons using parks and playgrounds or which creates
a hazardous or physically offensive condition is prohibited. Any person
who by willful act causes or intends to cause any danger, discomfort
or annoyance to the users of a park or playground, or causes a disturbance
of the peace and good order of a park or playground, whether by fighting,
quarreling, inciting others to fight, the use of obscene or indecent
language, or by loitering or congregating, shall be guilty of disturbing
the peace of the parks and playgrounds of the Borough.

Council may, from time to time, adopt rules and regulations
as it shall be necessary and proper for the operation, maintenance
and utilization of parks and playgrounds, which rules and regulations
shall be construed as a part of this Part, and shall be enforced in
the same manner as the other parts of this Part, and violation of
the said rules and regulations shall be subject to the same penalties
as a violation of this Part.

Any person who shall violate any provision of this Part shall,
upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding
$600 and costs and, in default of payment thereof, shall be subject
to imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days.
