The common boundary between the County of Sacramento and the
County of El Dorado as otherwise described by Sections 23109 and 23134
of the
Government Code, was modified by SCC-0762 and Resolution No.
89-0735, because it was not adequately marked by natural objects or
lines or surveys lawfully made.
The Surveyors of the County of Sacramento and County of El Dorado have jointly made a survey of the common boundary between these two counties for the purpose of definitely establishing the boundary line and determined that the coordinates of a USGS monument used for this purpose were incorrect. Subsequently, a field survey was made and the description of the common boundary line contained in Section
1.10.020 reflects this joint field survey by the Surveyors.
The purpose of the amendment to this section and Section
1.10.020 is to definitely establish the common boundary between Sacramento and El Dorado Counties pursuant to the provisions of Section 23171 of the
Government Code.
On January 8, 1991, the Board of Supervisors of the County of El Dorado adopted Resolution No. 10-91 and on January 15, 1991, enacted Ordinance No. 4147. On January 8, 1991, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Sacramento adopted Resolution No. 91-0036. These two Resolutions definitely establish the common boundary between Sacramento and El Dorado Counties in accordance with the same description as that contained in Section
1.10.020 and shown on a Record of Survey recorded in the Office of Recorder, Sacramento County in 48 Book and 13 Page.
