The County of Sacramento hereby declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the State of California pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 1, Title 4, Part 4 of the Penal Code, including Sections 13510, 13522, and 13525 of such code, as such chapter is amended from time to time.

Pursuant to Section 13522 of the Penal Code the County of Sacramento hereby declares that it will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training while receiving aid from the State of California.

Pursuant to Section 13512 of the Penal Code the County of Sacramento shall allow the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training and its representatives to make such inquiries as is deemed necessary by such commission to determine whether the County of Sacramento is adhering to the standards for recruitment and training established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all agencies and departments of the County of Sacramento, including but not limited to the Sheriff's Department, the Office of the District Attorney, and in the Coroner's Department, the Coroner and those peace officers employees as defined by Penal Code Section 830.35 and Government Code Sections 27469 and 27491 and 27491.4, inclusive, and designated as such peace officer employees by the Coroner. Applicability shall also include public safety dispatcher personnel of the Sheriff's Department pursuant to the authority of Penal Code Section 13525.
