A.
The Department of Personnel Management is hereby authorized to indirectly levy a fee on applicants for County employment by requiring them to pay a fee to a third-party testing service as compensation for developing and administering an examination on behalf of the County.
B.
The fee shall not exceed $10 unless authorized by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. Any such resolution shall specify: (1) the amount of the fee; (2) the type of civil service examinations of which the fee is applicable; and (3) any exemptions from such fee.
