The office of city attorney is created. The city attorney shall
have those duties specified by law, and as such shall:
A.
Advise
all city officers and officials in all legal matters pertaining to
the city;
B.
Defend
and appear for the city in his or her official capacity;
C.
Frame
all ordinances and resolutions and other legal documents required
by the legislative body and as requested by the city council; and
D.
Perform
other legal services as required from time to time by the city council.

The city attorney shall be appointed by the city council and
shall serve at the will of the city council.
