A. 
Whenever in this code or in any ordinance of the city or in any order, rule or regulation issued or promulgated by any duly authorized officer or agent of the city any act is prohibited, made or declared to be unlawful or an offense, or the doing of any act is required, or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, unless otherwise specifically provided, the violation of any such provision shall be an infraction, punishable by:
1. 
A fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for a first violation;
2. 
A fine not exceeding two hundred dollars for a second violation of the same ordinance within twelve months; and
3. 
A fine not exceeding five hundred dollars for each additional violation of the same ordinance within twelve months.
B. 
Every day any violation of this code or any ordinance of the city or any such order, rule or regulation shall constitute a separate offense.
