1. 
Completed application for certificate of appropriateness.
2. 
Completed building permit and/or zoning permit application when applicable.
3. 
The following items may be required at the discretion of the Historic Building Inspector:
A. 
Photographs of existing building or structure affected by proposed exterior work and photographs of adjacent buildings and/or structures.
B. 
Plans, elevations, details and other descriptive drawings of proposed work at minimum ¼ inch=1 foot 0 inch scale.
C. 
Material and product data indicating nature of new materials proposed.
D. 
Samples of proposed new and/or replacement materials. (Samples shall be brought by applicant to HARB meeting.)
E. 
Claim of economic hardship with required support information.
4. 
The following work shall be exempt from the requirements of Subsection 3.B above:
A. 
Siding and/or trim replacement in kind except when the profile of the siding or trim is changed.
B. 
Roof shingle replacement.
C. 
Gutter and downspout replacement in kind.
D. 
Window and/or door replacement in the same location, the same size and configuration.

Photographs of existing building or structure affected by proposed work and photographs of adjacent buildings and/or structures.

Elevations and details of proposed sign indicating materials, dimensions, text style and actual copy intended. Signs to be mounted and/or hung from a building or structure shall be represented by drawing showing building or structure elevation at minimum ¼ inch=1 foot 0 inch scale with proposed sign superimposed on elevation.
5. 
Samples of proposed materials. (Samples shall be brought by applicant to HARB meeting.)
