A. 
Designated parking areas. Roadways with designated parking areas are identified by white lines painted on the roadway. All vehicles shall park within the white lines in the designated parking areas.
B. 
One-way roadways. Except as otherwise provided in this section, every vehicle standing or parked upon a one-way highway shall be positioned parallel to the curb or edge of the highway in the direction of authorized traffic movement with its right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder, or with its left-hand wheels within 12 inches of the left-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the left edge of the left-hand shoulder.
C. 
Two-way roadways. Every vehicle standing or parked upon a two-way highway shall be positioned parallel to and with the right-hand wheels within 12 inches of the right-hand curb or, in the absence of a curb, as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder.

A. 
Authority to remove and impound illegally parked vehicles. The Board of Supervisors shall have the authority to order the removal and impounding of any vehicle parked on any street or highway, or on any public property of Londonderry Township in violation of any of the provisions of the law or of any ordinance of the Township, including but not limited to §§ 151-17.1 and 151-17.2 of the Londonderry Township Code, provided that no vehicle shall be removed or impounded except in accordance with the provisions of this section.
B. 
Approved storage garages designated. The Township shall, by resolution, establish a list of approved storage garages and approved pounds for the storage of impounded vehicles, which list may be amended from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. The list shall be kept on file in the office of the Township Secretary.
C. 
Insurance required. Every such approved storage garage shall maintain general liability insurance policy in the amount of $250,000 per person and $1,000,000 per occurrence covering both bodily injury and property damage, for the indemnification of the owner of any impounded vehicle against the loss thereof, or injury or damage thereto, while in the custody of such poundkeeper. A certificate of insurance evidencing such coverage shall be provided to the Township upon request.
D. 
Towing and storage charges fixed. The Board of Supervisors shall, by resolution, establish a schedule of towing and storage charges and fees that shall be charged for the towing and storage of vehicles removed and impounded under the authority of this section. The schedule of towing and storage charges and fees may be amended from time to time by resolution of the Board of Supervisors, and such schedule shall be kept on file in the office of the Township Secretary.
E. 
Notification of removal and impounding. Within 12 hours from the time of removal of any vehicle under authority granted by this section, notice of the fact that such vehicle has been impounded shall be sent by the Township to the owner of record of such vehicle. Such notice shall designate the place from which said vehicle was removed, the reason for its removal and impounding, and the pound in which it shall have been impounded.
F. 
Effect of payment of towing and impounding charges without protest. The payment of any towing and impounding charges authorized by this section shall, unless such payment shall have been made "under protest," be final and conclusive, and shall constitute a waiver of any right to recover the money so paid.
G. 
Effect of payment of charges under protest. In the event that any towing and impounding charges so imposed shall be paid "under protest," the offender shall be entitled to a hearing before a Magisterial District Justice in which case such defendant shall be proceeded against and shall receive such notice as is provided by the Vehicle Code in other cases of summary offenses and shall have the same rights as to appeal and waiver of hearing.
H. 
Records of vehicles removed and impounded. The Township Secretary shall keep a record of all vehicles impounded and shall be able at all reasonable times to furnish the owners or agents of the owners thereof with information as to the place of storage of such vehicles.
I. 
Liability of owner or operator of vehicle for fine or penalty. The payment of towing and storage charges shall not operate to relieve the owner or operator of any vehicle from liability for any fine or penalty for the violation of any law or ordinance on account of which the said vehicle was removed and impounded.
J. 
Restrictions upon removal of vehicles. No vehicle shall be removed under the authority of this section if, at the time of the intended removal thereof, the owner or person for the time being in charge of such vehicle is present and expresses a willingness and intention to remove such vehicle immediately.
K. 
"No parking" posting required for private commercial properties.
(1) 
An owner of private commercial property which provides two or more off-street parking spaces for use by its employees, customers, and patrons shall erect a sign no greater than two square feet in area which notifies the public as follows:
(a) 
The property is privately owned;
(b) 
Parking is reserved for use by employees and patrons of the commercial business and all other parking is prohibited;
(c) 
Violators will be towed; and
(d) 
The name, address, and phone number of the towing company which will perform the towing.
(2) 
The property owner shall not tow unauthorized vehicles from the private property unless such sign is posted in a conspicuous location on the private property so that it is easily recognized and clearly legible for the public.
