General regulations. It is necessary in the interest of public health,
safety and welfare to establish minimum lot or parcel sizes for any
lot or parcel in the Village's extraterritorial plat approval
jurisdiction provided for in Wis. Stats. § 236.10.
Lands described. Lands included in this regulation are defined as
all properties lying within 1.5 miles of the boundaries of the Village
of Waterford, as defined in Wis. Stats. § 236.02(5).
Minimum lot or parcel size. The minimum lot or parcel size for a
lot or parcel within the Village's one-and-one-half-mile extraterritorial
plat review authority shall be 20 acres.
Whereas, due to Wis. Stats. § 66.0105 applying to the extraterritorial
plat approval jurisdiction, the Villages of Rochester and Waterford
have developed a map that will clarify the extraterritorial jurisdiction
for both communities in the portions where the extraterritorial powers
overlap.
Newly annexed lands shall extend the one-and-one-half-mile boundary
automatically without update to this section with staff charged to
update the map upon each annexation.
