All City employees shall observe the rules and regulations set forth in the City Safety Manual as well as abide by all applicable departmental safety rules.

Any on-the-job accident or injury shall be reported immediately to the employee's immediate supervisor. The supervisor shall immediately report the injury to the City Administrator (or his or her designee). It is the responsibility of the supervisor to arrange for prompt medical attention if necessary.

A safety committee is established consisting of one (1) employee from each department and the Safety Officer. The Safety Committee shall review each accident report and make recommendations on safety policy to the City Administrator with the goal of increasing safety and reducing work-related injuries.

All City employees shall wear safety belts while operating or riding as a passenger in City vehicles or while operating or riding as a passenger in any personal vehicle while performing job duties.
