This district is intended to provide for retail, service and office uses which primarily serve the businesses, tourists and general population of the Puget Sound region. The district is further intended to provide for a variety of housing densities. The uses are intended to exist in a compatible and complementary manner with surrounding uses and districts. Street-based store frontages and plazas are encouraged in order to provide for a pedestrian-friendly atmosphere.
