[Amended 5-30-1995 by L.L. No. 10-1995]
The Town of Southold provides bathing beaches
and recreational facilities and parking areas adjacent thereto at
various locations within the Town for the use and enjoyment of residents
of the Town of Southold. The Town also has many road ends which provide
access to the water. The use of such facilities by persons other than
residents has increased to such an extent that such facilities have
become overcrowded, with the result that residents are denied the
use thereof. The Town Board therefore declares it to be the policy
of the Town of Southold to restrict and regulate the parking of vehicles
in the parking areas adjacent to the bathing beaches, road ends and
recreational facilities described in this article in accordance with
the provisions hereof.
